(CBS SF) — A new social dating app is promising users it is just like Tinder, but without the “poor and unattractive,” according to a company CEO quoted in a press release.

The Luxy app – which the press release said was “the latest offering by my Silicon Valley-based client, MillionaireMatch.com” – bills itself as “Tinder, minus the riff raff.”

MillionaireMatch.com lists an Ontario, Canada address on its website’s Contact Us page.

The statement released this week says,

“It works just like Tinder,” said the CEO of Luxy. “With one big exception: Our app allows users to weed out the poor and unattractive.”

The CEO quoted in the press release issued by Darren Shuster of Pop Culture Public Relations was not identified. A email from Shuster Tuesday would only identify the person as ‘Tim T.”

The press release says the average income of male users on the dating network in over $200,000 and “those who are unable to keep up financially are immediately removed from the service.”

Like other dating sites suchs as Tinder or Grindr, the app lets users “like” or “pass” on dating candidates by swiping or tapping the screen.

If two people like each other, a match is made and the Luxy app introduces the two users.

Users on the site include “CEOs, professional athletes, doctors, lawyers, investors, entrepreneurs, beauty queens, fitness models and Hollywood celebrities,” according to the release.
